Sunday Encouragement!

Just a note about yesterday that I thought I would share with you all...we were really thrilled with our attendance--36!!! Its the highest we've had for a while so that is ALWAYS encouraging!! :0) My hubby picked up 13 kiddos on the van and we did have 3 visitors; so both of those things helped tremendously!! The kids were wound up as usual, but the Lord helped us; and we are so grateful for each and every precious soul that the Lord sends our way... Lord, help us to be faithful in teaching them YOUR ways!!

Weekend Encouragement

This weekend went pretty well for us. We ended up with a good group of kids on Sunday morning and 2 new ones! :0) That's always exciting! We had about 29 people too so that is a good group for us! The Lord is good! Sunday night we picked up 4 teens (one who hasn't come for over a year--praise the Lord). Sis Arlene sang a special in the service and the Lord really helped her. This week will be spent preparing for our upcoming revival which is scheduled for next week with Rev John Dye and his wife. I'm sure we'll have a riot! LOL We're praying for an outpouring of the Holy Ghost on our congregation...We're all in need of encouragement and uplifting. We are trusting the Lord for a good revival!

Easter Morning!

I set this to post on itself today because I wanted something special up for Easter Sunday... What a glorious day of celebration for us Christians! Below is one of my favorite songs to sing around this time of year (or anytime really but especially now...)

God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon,An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,And feel the pride and joy he gives; But greater still the calm assurance:This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!
And then one day, I'll cross the river,I'll fight life's final war with pain; And then, as death gives way to vict'ry,I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,Because He lives, all fear is gone;Because I know He holds the future,And life is worth the living,Just because He lives!

Happy Birthday!

Saturday was my husbands birthday; however, we were too busy getting everything done for sunday that we didn't have time to really celebrate. So I made a birthday cake for him and we decided we'd invite the church people over after church sunday night for cake. Due to various things only Robert, Mary, Claude, James, Rachel, Hannah, Danielle, Cindy and Melodie were able to come over. We had a nice time of fellowship. Happy Birthday Honey! I love you! :0)

New Junior Church Theme

This past saturday we met at the church to change the theme to "New Life in Christ". Sis Crystal Hodak is in charge of doing all the decorating, the rest of us ladies just help her put it all up! ;0) she does a really good job as you can see... The pictures don't really do it justice but at least you get an idea...

Ministerial Institute

This past week was our Ministerial Institute up in Canton, Ohio; so my husband and I stayed with my parents since they just live 25 minutes from there. The Institute went well. Bro McDonald and Bro Humble were the speakers and the Dan Hardy Sr. were the singers. Listed below are some pictures of the family I took while we were home.
