Woman of Courage Book Review

Once again, Wanda E. Brunstetter, has done an outstanding job writing a story that not only captivates the reader, but teaches valuable lessons.    Woman of Courage is a fascinating tale weaving two worlds into one beautiful picture of Grace.  The outstanding message of God’s grace and mercy is evident in this incredible story.  I’ve read many of her books, but I will have to say, Woman of Courage is one of her best! It is definitely worth your time!

The GOOD AND THE BAD

wow... So many things have happened since I've last posted on here that I won't even try to catch up. Needless to say, we have been very busy!
Our little girl is now almost 2 years old.... So hard to believe how the time has flown by! She thinks she's 20 I think but mommy and daddy know better. :-) She keeps us laughing and yes... Even crying at times. But we are so thankful for our funny little gal that God entrusted into our care.

The weight and responsibility of parenting has been settling in on my shoulders lately. I realize what a huge responsibility God has entrusted to us. I know that our only hope is to rely on HIS strength and wisdom to do this thing. In those scary moments of parenting, what a comfort it is to know that we can lean on Him.

Our latest adventure with Kelsey has been to do the unthinkable.... And that is to take away her "pacy". When her last "favorite" one got holes in it, we decided it was either buy another one or... Take the plunge and vet rid of it. We took her to build a bear and she put it inside her new furry friend that she picked out. And all was well... Until... We got in the car, and... Bedtime. Ugh. To make a long story short, it is a week later and she rarely asks for it. I can't say that I would want to relive this week over again though... :-)

10 1/2 Months old!

Kelsey is growing up SO FAST!! It's hard to believe she is already almost 11 months old!  She is walking now, which means she is exploring the house and getting into ALL KINDS of trouble! :0)  Her favorite place of mischief is our kitchen cupboards... That makes for an interesting time when mommy is trying to make supper... stopping to get kelsey out of the cupboards every two seconds! :0)  While there are some challenging moments, we enjoy our little "mess maker" as we have so lovingly nicknamed her. :0)  That's all for now!

It has been quite awhile since I have posted on here!! Our little Sugar Bear is almost 9 months old now... getting into all kinds of trouble! :0)  Here are a few pictures that re-cap some of our Christmas with my side of the family (Davis). 

The Big 6!

Our little princess turned 6 months old on the 14th of October!! So hard to believe! Time has just flown by... we treasure each moment with her and are so blessed to have such a sweetie!  She has 5 teeth now!!...and... is working on the 6th one!  Whew! That made for a few rough, grouchy weeks but... not too bad considering the pain she must have been in!  Her favorite toys these days are...any tags ON her toys... yes, she loves the tags rather than the toys themselves... :0) She's sitting up like a pro and is working on her crawling... even though she can't "officially" crawl yet, she sure gets around!! :0) Mommy and daddy are keeping busy making sure she's safe... :0) We enjoy our little family and are thankful to the Heavenly Father for His many blessings!!

 

 

5 months old!

I'm 5 months old now!! :0)  Growing up WAY too fast according to mommy and daddy.  Im rolling over very well now and I'm starting to scoot (almost to the crawling stage) around to get where I want to be!  Im a pretty happy baby most of the time... just not so much in Church... but, were working on that! :0)

It has been WAY too long since I've posted on here...I know... so I'm not going to try to catch you up on all that has happened since the last post.  I'll just give you the latest highlights! :0)

Kelsey is a grown up 4 1/2 month old now!  She is rolling over, has her first two teeth, AND is eating cereal now!  Wow has time gone fast, and our little newborn has grown so swiftly!  We are having a blast with her though, and love watching her learn new things!

Mommy and daddy have finished their 4 VBS's they were scheduled for this summer. Whew! Glad that summer is over! ;0)  No, the Lord once again graciously helped us!  However, there's no rest for the weary... our Fall schedule looks almost just as hectic as our summer!  We will be getting the Church Parsonage roof redone this month.  A couple of men will be coming to do that for us, and we are very grateful!  There are many busy days ahead, but we are enjoying our little family!

Welcome Baby Kelsey!

Now that a whole month has passed, I FINALLY found the time to put photos of our new addition on here! :0)  We welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Kelsey Grace, into our home on April 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM.  She weighed 6 lbs. 2.6 oz. and was 19 inches long.  We are truly blessed!

A Baby Shower in PA

Our family in Pennsylvania also had a lovely shower for our little one. It was at the Rustic Lodge there in Indiana, Pa. Again, our baby girl was blessed with MANY nice things!! What a beautiful way to welcome our precious bundle.

Baby Shower in Ohio

We have been truly blessed to have SO MANY friends and family who have showered our little girl with so many lovely things. In Ohio, my home church family (2 special ladies in particular-Susie and Sis Kabellar), had a lovely shower at Susie's home for us. It was so nice!! Everything from the food to every gift was just fantastic!!
