Thank You!

Since this month is Pastor Appreciation month, I would like to say a few words about my "lifelong" pastor and wife--my parents... Even though technically they are no longer my Pastor and wife, I still consider them to be (and probably always will!) :0). They have "pastored" me for most of my life, and in some ways are STILL "pastoring" me even now. Whenever I need advice or council, especially now that we are in the ministry ourselves, I know that they are only a phone call away. There have been many times that I have had to go to them for advice on what to do in a situation, and they are always there to listen and support in prayer. I am so blessed to have both parents and a "pastor and wife" in one couple! They are the best! I love you mom and dad! Thank you for the wonderful example that you have set before me!

Joanna, that is so sweet for you to honor your parents with the kindest of words!

Personalized "appreciation" notes to a pastor/wife are cherished in their hearts when discouragement runs deep!

Gifts of "time" is so appreciated by pastors! ... Offer to shine the pastor's shoes for Sunday— wash and detail his vehicle ... Go "calling" with the pastor, and allow his wife a Saturday morning in the parsonage. Men can take the pastor for a cup of coffee, and ladies take his wife for a cup of tea. Invite your pastor/wife to offer a devotional over a cup of ?? ... the list goes on and on ...
